As we have entered into the fall many things are changing around us. The leaves are changing colors and even the elections are upon us. Nonetheless, this is time when we gather with family again around a warm fireplace and we start to prepare for the winter ahead.
We put away our summer clothes and take out our sweaters and comforters again. I enjoy snuggling up with a hot chocolate and watching a old movie. Spiritually we are getting rid of what dose not serve. However, October is a fun month. Halloween is upon us. Those whom are pagan or practice Wicca for example celebrate the waning of the fall harvest and they pay tribute to their ancestors ion Halloween to Thank Them for getting them through a other year with a good harvest.
That is why children dress up they represent the ancestors. So they knock on doors hoping that they will receive a good treat for doing so well.
As Halloween goes into the history books for a other Year we have Christmas, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa to look forward. Gift giving is great. The best you can give some one this year is a smile, hug, and a good compliment.
